Last week Kelly and I were privileged to serve in the Mesa Arizona Temple. This is the closest we have ever lived to a temple in service (the Rexburg temple wasn't finished, 1 mile away). It is a wonderful blessing to be so close because with very little travel time we can go when there is only a small window of opportunity. I have even ridden my bike and it only took about 15 minutes. We have made it a goal to serve in as many different temples as we can through out the world, it truly is wonderful to see the amazing edifices built for the Lord. together we have served in 7 temples in 5 states and 2 countries. We hope to serve as often as we can where ever we might be. I know there are rich blessings both temporal and spiritual that come from serving our deceased brothers and sisters and our father in heaven in his holy house. Just to mention one of the smallest and least of these blessings came to me the other day when I was reunited with my mission president whom I had not seen in about 3 years; it was wonderful to meet with him again and rejoice in the fact that we are still brothers in the Lord (Alma 17:2). I love to see the temple and I love to serve in them. Great peace and understanding are obtained within their walls. If you want to learn more about temples please visit the Purpose of Temples page at lds.org. (seen above is the Mesa Arizona temple which was crafted in the 1920's after pre-Columbus architecture and King Solomon's temple)
That is a beautiful picture of the Mesa Temple. Thank you for being so faithful. Jordan and Kelly, you are a great joy in our lives and we love you so much. MOM
